Managing appointments is critical to the success of any dental office. DDS Works features revolutionary tools to make sure appointment management is fast. The Appointment Manager will find the earliest (and all) available appointment that matches what is convenient for the patient and your office. Simply ask the patient the questions you always have. Enter their answers and by magic all available appointments that are suitable will be at your finger-tips.

The Appointment Manger will also let you quickly cancel and notify patients if an employee is sick or needs to leave the office unexpectedly. Only employees who are scheduled to work on a given day should have a column in the scheduler. This will require an enhancement to track the office schedule. Time blocking can effectively work with the Scheduler if employees are only working part days. Icons may be a good way to identify providers in the new operatory based system. The “edge” color of the icon can indicate the employee type. Changes would need to be made to employee type setup.
